When I first started playing online poker ring games, I found myself getting mad because some of the players had no clue how to play the game and kept crapping out on me. You know the player that call the max bet with a pair of 2’s when there is a-k on the board. Then talks crap when he hits another 2 when you had him dominated from the start but he craps out.

Something I have been noticing is many players do not capitalize on the full potential of their hand in limit poker. Meaning, they have a very good hand after the flop and come out betting, but when they get reraised they slow back down in fear of losing to the 1 possible hand out there that could beat them. Let me break it down for you. 2 players are in the hand, we will call them Jack and Brian. Now Jack bets preflop and Brian raised preflop, then Jack reraised so Brian just called. The flop came out 2d 9h and ks. This is a $5 $10 Limit game by the way, now Jack who is first to act comes out betting $5 and Brian raised, then Jack reraised, then Brian capped. Turn brings the kd. Jack bets $10 and is raised by Brian, however now Jack just calls. River comes 3 clubs and Jack checks to Brian who naturally bet $10 and Jack just called.

It€™s an interesting question isn€™t it? And perhaps one that tends to be overlooked by the majority of average poker players. It is important for players to understand as well as accept that you can play a certain poker strategy against players at one table and make money, while playing the same strategy at another table it may cost you money.
