Yesterday I decided to enter the $60,000 guaranteed tournament at Absolute Poker. The entry fee is $150+$12 but there was only about 550 players. The Tournament starts players off at 5000 chips.The first hand of the online poker tournament I lost 1600 in chips to a full house and was hoping it would not be a short night. I stuck to my plan and only played premium hands. I slowly built up and was around even by the first break. The chip leader at my table was only at 7000 so I was still in good shape. I slowly began to build my chips and was hanging around the 12000 chip range for quite a while. When the third break rolled around I was at about 18000 chips and on the low end of the remaining players. I played extra tight until I was in the money and was able to be more aggressive. I made my way up to 2nd place and was real comfortable with only 10 players left. This was the farthest I made it in a big money tournament. At least while playing at one of the online poker rooms. I made a mistake and was near low stack and did all I could to hold on. I made it to 5th place before I was put out and walked away with almost $4,000. I have been telling all my friends about the win and already enjoyed some of the extra money. Congratulations to me.
