One of the most highly anticipated events of the year, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVI is rapidly approaching, and you can already feel the excitement building throughout the online poker community.  All events combined in the exciting FTOPS XVI will see a total of $25 Million in guaranteed prize money.  Now that’s some serious payout potential!!  The renowned online poker tournament kicks off on April 23rd, and goes through May 2nd, 2010.  There will then be a mini FTOPS XVI tournament that runs May 7th through May 16th, 2010.

The first FTOPS XVI tournament will feature $18 Million in prizes and will include 30 thrilling events.  Types of tournament play will include knockout, shootout, turbo and super turbo game events.   There will be a 2 day event which features $2 Million prize pool, and the Main Event which offers a $3 Million prize pool.  Each tournament event will have an official host that is part of the Full Tilt Poker Pro Team.  Pro team member assignments have not yet been disclosed.   The first weekend of the event will kick off with a bang as Friday, Saturday and Sunday will each have three exhilarating events with guaranteed prize pools ranging from $150K to $1.25 Million.  As the tournament progresses, there will be 5 additional events with prize pools in excess of $1 Million dollars.

Everyone who makes it to the final table of any of the events will be presented with a limited edition FTOPS XVI jacket.  Players who win an event will not only win one of these sensational limited edition jackets, but will also be presented with a gold FTOPS jersey, and a sophisticated gold jersey avatar to use when playing at any Full Tilt Poker tables.   The lucky player who tops out the FTOPS XVI leaderboard will be presented with a customer Full Tilt Poker avatar, as well as an extraordinary prize package that will include entry into all of the FTOPS XVII events, excluding the 2 day event.  A prize package that is estimated to be valued at over $9000.
